Project: created brand identity, logo, marketing collateral, business cards, letterhead, and Web site. Web site has admin function to administer listings.
   
Filmtech, LLC:  
Company Profile: Filmtech makes products for the temporary protection of high-value surfaces like floors, carpets, countertops, doors, windows, etc. These products are utilized by the construction, flooring, moving & storage, rv & marine industries.
Project: Web site design and development to showcase their products and improve search engine optimization and online exposure.
   
Olde Dartmouth Sotheby's International Realty  
Company profile: South Coast MA Real estate company with two offices.
Project: Designed and developed online strategy and Web site. All stages of development, SEO, site promotion, etc. Web site markets the Massachusetts South Coast region, individual towns and properties. Responsible for all photography, site design, and site content. Prior to affiliation with Sotheby’s.
   
True Grit Abrasives:  
Company Profile: True Grit Abrasives makes grinding wheels and abrasives stones for use in a variety of applications.
Project: Web site redesign.
   
Dollar Rent A Car  
Company Profile: Major car company Dollar / Thrifty rents cars in several nations.
Project:
  • Managed the complete redevelopment of Dollar’s company Web portal, improving site performance, usability, functionality, and scalability. Rewrote Dollar’s cgi-based on-line reservation system, as a Web service, using ASP, VB, C++, SOAP, XML, and SQL Server. This fully object-oriented reservations Web service connects all of Dollar’s customer and travel agent Web sites, as well as those of several business partners, to Dollar’s reservation system and also services palm devices, mobile phones, and Global Distribution Services (GDSs).
  • Used this engagement as a pilot program to help Dollar bring e-commerce development in-house. Developed and implemented project management, development, test and production support procedures.
  • Created Dollar’s first Web testing environment. Moved Dollar’s site from 2-tiered to multi-tiered. Reduced site transaction time by 80%.
  • Completed the project on time and on budget.
   
The Pioneer Group, Inc.  
Company Profile: International investment company, headquartered in Boston, MA. Has a family of mutual funds, other financial products as well as timberlands, gold mines, and other overseas investments.
Project: Vice President of Internet Strategy and Implementation from 1997 till 2000.
  • Responsible for all of Pioneer’s Internet strategy and development, world-wide, including budget, Web design, content management, support functions, all Internet infrastructure, interactive development, and e-commerce implementation.
  • Took over a struggling e-commerce group and effectively built and managed a cross-functional team of 50 professionals.
  • Presented at many executive and company-wide forums throughout Pioneer’s international offices and elsewhere. Senior advocate for E-commerce within the organization
  • Responsible for five domestic Web sites and the coordination of seven overseas Web sites.
  • Authored Pioneer’s Corporate Internet Strategy and worked with overseas subsidiaries on company-wide adoption. Developed and articulated vision for Pioneer Global Web Portal and services
  • Created Pioneer's first Web sites for Registered Investment Advisors, Wholesalers and Offshore Investors.
  • Created and implemented Pioneer's first Web style guide to increase brand identity and improve user experience.
  • Implemented an ambitious e-commerce technology plan, including: personalization, portal management, customer relationship management, e-mail campaigns, site metrics and statistics, platform migration, on-line transactions, internationalization, third party content and wireless devices.
  • Led the requirements definition, selection and implemented of content management, first utilizing MS Site Server and, finally, Interwoven. In the process, met with content creators and owners, developed content workflows, dealt with issues of translation and internationalization, templating, database structures, ownership, publishing process, compliance, etc.
  • Developed many interactive applications including on-line account inquiry and transactions, lead generation, historical pricing, daily pricing, newsletters, streaming media, automated fund fact sheets, capital gains, dividends, distributions and literature fulfillment.
  • Created Pioneer's first offshore development team located in Madras, India.
  • Researched and selected vendors, architecture, and development/testing tools.
  • Developed technology standards and processes for software development.
  • Created new production, staging, and testing environments for Web sites and implemented the agreed-upon technologies and processes.

Putnam Investments:  

Company Profile: Putnam Investments is a global asset manager with 200 investment professionals overseeing $190 Billion for clients worldwide.
Project:

  • Personally responsible for business analysis, design, and implementation of Web-based Internet and Intranet Security Administration and Customer Support Utilities used to administer 200,000 users for Putnam’s Secure Broker Web site and 5,000,000 users for Putnam’s shareholder Web site.
  • Developed electronic commerce applications that allow brokers to submit new account applications on-line. Developed nested-installation software for Web applications for distribution on CD-ROM and for download from the Web.
  • Created Putnam’s Web testing environment. Trained QA and Training Departments on Web technology and managed the testing of Internet applications.
  • Analyzed and implemented helpdesk software and integrated that software with Security Administration and Customer Support Utilities.
  • Wrote business, functional and technical specifications for Internet applications.
  • Managed the projects through their full developmental cycle.

Company Profile: Pioneering flat panel monitor maker.
